Designed for a longer life

Cotton rewards simple, consistent care. The care label supplied with your product takes priority over this general guide, particularly for dyed, printed, finished or blended textiles.

Washing

• Wash on a cool or warm cycle according to the care label; avoid unnecessarily high temperatures.
• Use a mild detergent and measure it carefully. Avoid bleach and optical brighteners, which can weaken fibres and dull colour.
• Wash light and dark colours separately, especially for the first few washes.
• Do not overload the machine. Allowing the fabric to move freely helps protect the weave.
• Avoid fabric softener where possible. Residue can reduce absorbency and build up on the fibres.

Drying and ironing

• Line drying is the gentlest option. Dry in shade where possible because prolonged direct sunlight can fade any textile.
• If needed, tumble dry on a low setting and remove promptly. Repeated high heat can increase shrinkage and wear.
• Iron on the setting recommended for cotton while the fabric is slightly damp. Test a hidden area first for dark or dyed goods.
• Do not dry clean unless the product care label specifically permits it.

Stains and natural variation

Treat stains as soon as possible by gently lifting excess material and following the product care label. Test any stain treatment on an inconspicuous area first; never combine cleaning chemicals.

Slubs, small changes in texture and gradual fading are natural characteristics of cotton and use. They are part of the material’s life, not a reason to use harsher cleaning methods.
